Newly discovered evidence on Lima Bolivia flight LMI-2933 crash suggests the pilot was aware fuel levels in the plane were dangerously low.

Cockpit recordings show Miguel Quiroga, pilot of the plane, requested an emergency landing due to fuel problems. Landing priority, however, was given to another nearby plane which was also experiencing mechanical problems. The plane circled for seven minutes waiting to land and eventually crashed.

This theory implies had the plane landed sooner, the accident may have been prevented.

Fedex Express Flight FX-910, delivering cargo from Memphis to Fort Lauderdale, had its main landing gear collapse during landing, which resulted in a fire on the plane’s left engine.

When the plane made contact with the runway, the left main gear collapsed. Consequently the plane’s left wing and its engine scraped along the tarmac, causing the fire, and dragged along the runway until the plane came to a stop.

A blazing fire ensued. Two flight crew members were on board at the time and both escaped through the right cockpit window. The NTSB has opened an investigation.

Hollywood star Geraldine Hughes found herself penning a farewell letter to her loved ones on United Airlines Flight UA-76 during its emergency landing at Shannon Airport, Ireland.

The Boeing 757 was cruising at 10,000 feet when pilots noticed an issue with the landing gear. The rear landing gear was locked in the down-position with the status of the front landing gear unknown.

Amidst the emergency landing, crew members instructed passengers to assume the brace position and place their passports in their pockets, in case their bodies needed to be identified.

Hughes described the experience as “awful” and that during the emergency she “lost it” and “started to cry.” The plane, however, landed safely despite the landing malfunction.
