Austrian Airlines Flight OE-LBF was descending toward its final destination, Vienna, when crew members noticed the pungent smell of old socks fill the cabin.

Consequently the flight crew shut down the air conditioning system of the plane and opted for delta pressure RAM air to provide circulation.

The flight committed to the landing in Vienna and the plane was stationed there for 36 hours due to the incident. After after test flights of the aircraft, it resumed service.
