Author: Kayla Nilson  |  Category: emergency landing, Fumes

A United Airlines plane had taken off from Newark on Wednesday night, when shortly into the flight, there were reports of the smell of smoke coming from one of the bathrooms. The Los Angeles bound aircraft quickly made an emergency landing at Lehigh Valley International Airport in Pennsylvania.

The plane was able to land safely and without injury. Passengers were then bused back to Newark Liberty International Airport through United Airlines. The cause of the smoke smell has yet to be determined.

If you were injured on a flight, remember to seek appropriate medical care first, and to keep good records of your interactions with medical providers.
