13 Ryanair Passengers Injured in Bus Crash at Frankfurt Airport

A bus transporting Ryanair passengers to a terminal, was involved in a collision that injured at least 13 people. One person was rushed to the hospital after the incident.

It is believed that the bus collided with a luggage hauler, who failed to yield to the bus’s right of way on the tarmac. Several similar accidents have occurred at Frankfurt Airport, including a crash last month that injured 11.

The incident is still under investigation.

Three Killed and Two Injured in Southern California Helicopter Crash

A Robinson R44 helicopter, carrying four people, crashed into a Newport Beach home this afternoon. It’s reported that three people killed, and two others were rushed to the hospital.

One witness stated that they saw the chopper “drop like a rock”. The collision did not cause a fire, but there were plenty of fluids present at the scene.

The FAA and the NTSB will be investigating the cause of the crash.

Three Wildlife Biologists Involved in Fatal Helicopter Crash

A group of biologists from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife were on board a helicopter, when it crashed in Pomeroy, Washington. The crew was surveying populations of mule deer, using nets that were fired off of the helicopter to catch some of them.

19-year-old Benjamin Poirier died at the scene of the crash, while 33-year-old Blake Malo and 30-year-old Garrett Bradshaw were airlifted to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.

It has been stated that the NTSB investigation may take up to two years to complete.

Alaska Airlines Airplane Crashes Into De-Icing Truck

An Alaska Airlines plane was preparing to take off from Logan International Airport in Boston, it crashed into a parked de-icing truck.

There was minor damage to the left wing of the plane, and the 166 passengers on-board had to deplane and were put on other flights.

The plane is now out of service and being inspected, and the cause of the accident is being investigated.

Strong winds and sand storms are likely to blame for a crash-landing of a hot air balloon carrying tourists of Luxor, Egypt. The pilot lost control of the balloon, and was blown off course over a mountainous area.

One South African man was killed, and at least 12 others were injured. Three of the passengers are currently being treated in the hospital.

All other balloons that had taken off around the same time, were about to land without incident.

Plane Collision Causes Fire at Toronto Pearson Airport

Dozens of passengers at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport, were forced to evacuate a WestJet Airlines airplane after another plane backed into it. A Sunwing Airlines aircraft was being towed by a ground crew when the crash occurred, causing a small fire.

All passengers and crew members were able to evacuate, but one of the airport’s fire and emergency workers was taken to the hospital.

UW-Madison Student Missing After Plane Crash in Lake Eerie

A student from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, is missing after a small plane crashed in Ohio’s Lake Eerie. The student is identified as Megan Casey, nineteen-years-old.

The owner of the aircraft is John Fleming, CEO of Superior Beverage Group, and was onboard the aircraft. Also onboard was Fleming’s wife and her two sons.

Recovery efforts are underway but so far neither the aircraft nor the bodies have been discovered.

Explosive Compounds Found on Egypt Air Flight MS-804 Crash

Explosive compounds were discovered at the site of Egypt Air’s Flight MS-804 crash. The discovery suggests the crash was attributed to terrorism rather than mechanical or pilot error.

Forensic examination at the crash site unveiled explosive compounds on some of the human remains. The investigation by Egypt’s Civil Aviation Authority has now opened a criminal investigation.

Mukwa Man Walks Away with Life After Plane Crash

A man from Mukwa, Wisconsin, walks away with his life after his home-built plane crashed in a field near a neighborhood. The aircraft had less than fifty hours of flight time.

Paul Nichols, a resident of the neighborhood, heard the plane crash and rushed in to help, discovering the pilot stuck within the rubble but still conscious. Nichols pulled the pilot from the plane with just moments to spare, as the plane exploded moments later.

Single-engine Beechcraft Crashes near Lee C Fine Airport

In Miler County, Missouri, a father and daughter were found dead after their plane crashed near Lee C Fine Airport at the Lake of the Ozarks. Missouri State Highway Patrol released a report stating it was uncertain whether the single-engine Beechcraft was in route somewhere or if it recently had taken off.

The father and daughter are identified as Bruce and Sarah Hensler, respectively. Reports claim the Federal Aviation Administration will assume the investigation. In addition, the Federal Aviation Administration released an initial report on this crash here.
