Father and Son Killed in Moorpark Crash

A father and his son were killed in a small plane crash which occurred near Moorpark of Ventura County, California.

A Calabasas father and his teenaged son were killed in a single engine plane crash Sunday afternoon just south of the city of Moorpark in Ventura County have been identified by authorities. (Photo: Ventura County Fire Department)

The victims are identified as Jame Harlan, the father, and his son, Dylan Harlan. Representatives from the son’s school released a statement stating their shock at the sudden loss: ““(Dylan’s) teachers are deeply shaken and speak of him in the highest terms. He was just a great kid who had lots of outside involvement, but made sure he always made up his work when he was gone.”

The NTSB is on site investigating the incident. The plane is revealed to be a 1967 Piper PA-28-180.
