A group of biologists from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife was on board a helicopter, when it crashed in Pomeroy, Washington. The crew was surveying populations of mule deer, using nets that were fired off of the helicopter to catch some of them.
19-year-old Benjamin Poirier died at the scene of the crash, while 33-year-old Blake Malo and 30-year-old Garrett Bradshaw were airlifted to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.
It has been stated that the NTSB investigation may take up to two years to complete.
